Raised in San Rafael California, Tara was surrounded by creative influences of the Bay Area via music, art, appreciation of nature and respect for animals.
Tara has actively made art since high school years and studied at University of Oregon (BA Art, 1995) focusing in drawing and painting only to fall in love with sculpture her senior year.

Today Tara continues to focus in wire sculpture and dog paintings. Making blankets is also a favorite activity. Having ‘not quit her day job’, Tara has dedicated her career to human services focusing in program development and outreach for individuals with developmental disabilities.
